From One Generation to the Next
Your gift strengthens families and carries God’s faithfulness forward through education and faith.
At Christmas, we remember the miracle that changed the world:
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.” (John 1:14)
In that same spirit, Casa del Lago is a place where God’s presence continues to dwell — where faith and learning take root side by side. Every day, parents, grandparents, and children fill classrooms with laughter, light, and the sound of growth.
Where Faith and Learning Meet
When you walk through the halls of Casa del Lago, you see what happens when God’s mercy comes near. A father practices English so he can talk with his child’s teacher. A mother learns budgeting skills that keep her home stable. A child proudly reads her first book aloud. These moments are glimpses of Emmanuel — God with us — alive in this community.
Each class, conversation, and prayer reflects the truth of Psalm 78:
“We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done… so the next generation would know them.”
This is what your generosity makes possible — faith passed from parent to child, learning shared between generations, and hope that multiplies across families.
Mayra’s Story: Learning Together, Growing in Faith
When Mayra Esparza first came to Casa del Lago, she was struggling to help her son Adriel stay motivated to read. She wanted her children to succeed, but she also longed to learn English herself.
Together, they found a home at Casa. Adriel joined the after school reading program, her preschooler Yaneth thrived in class, and Mayra began studying English.
“I feel that God has worked in my life through this community,” Mayra says. “We’re growing in faith and hope together.”
Through Casa’s devotionals, she found peace and encouragement:
“The counselor’s talks fill me with hope. They remind me to look inward and trust God.”
Today, Mayra’s confidence has grown, her family is flourishing, and she dreams of seeing her children attend college. “Casa del Lago is a place for the whole family,” she says. “Everything here is rooted in faith and brings positive things to our lives.”
God With Us — In Every Lesson and Life Changed
Like Mary’s song in Luke 1, the story of Casa del Lago is one of mercy moving through generations:
“His mercy extends to those who fear Him, from generation to generation.”
Each learner who enters these doors adds another verse to that story. A single gift can open an entire world — a new language, a deeper faith, a chance to build a better future.
This year, families began gathering in Casa del Lago’s new building, a space filled with laughter, prayer, and purpose. Every classroom, every open door, is a reminder that when we make room for others to learn and grow, we echo the heart of the Incarnation: God dwelling among His people.
